Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters.
Was wondering if anybody knows if there is any islamic primary school for 5 yr/o child near Camberley, Woking or Guildford surrounding areas
I'm not from the UK, but my family is moving to UK soon for work.
I have been to Camberley mosque several times for Friday prayers couple of years ago, and i thought i noticed class rooms overthere but not sure if they are primary school
thanks

The classrooms at the Islamic centre are used on Saturdays by volunteers that run a saturday school (Al-Rayyaan Academy). Its not a proper Primary School as it really just provides additional Islamic education and extra classes for children already at school.
I'm not aware of a local Islamic school in the area. But I can ask one of the brothers to come on here and comment.

Assalaamu-alaikum
There is no primary School as such (Not an Islamic one), But we do have a saturday school which we call it Al-Rayyan( again it is for ages from 6 to 14).
Sisters do get together with their little toddlers but that is it.
Inshallah All ah provide us the financial resources , who knows we may be able to establish a school. But right now the answer is No.
Jazakallahokhairan

Salam all,
Thank you for the earlier response.
If you don't mind me asking .. as I'm still trying to understand schools in UK.
So, the normal practice for Muslim children is to go to the normal primary school and then attend additional Islamic education classes?
Is any other additional Islamic classes (besides Al-Rayyan) also for ages 6 to 14 only?
Thanks

Usually that is the case. Most kids take normal lessons at the usual schools and then get islamic education outside of normal school hours.
In some of the bigger cities there are proper islamic schools that combine Islamic education with the normal school curriculum. There are no such school in the Surrey Heath area though.
Aside from the Al-Rayyan school, I don't think there is any other place around here that offers this. Choices are limited at present.
