Al-Salaamu-Alaikum (Peace Be on You)
Welcome to Surrey Heath Muslim Association!

We are an association of families, friends and members of the local Muslim community from, in and around the borough of Surrey Heath. As a Muslim community we have been in the area since the 1970s, when the first immigrants arrived to work in Camberley and surrounding areas. Over the years the community has continued to grow, highlighting clears needs for the people within the community.

We originate from diverse and varied backgrounds and aim to work together to develop a strong community cohesion within our Muslim community and also with the wider British Muslim and our other communities. We aim to work proactively with the wider community through participation in our local community affairs that affect us all. We also aim to organise and provide services including children’s education, youth training, women’s educational activities, and to fulfil the social needs of our Muslim community.

Our current set of activities include providing Children's education (Islamic and National Curriculum); Youth activities that include football every week on Friday evenings; Women's gatherings for their social activities; and language classes. We hope to strengthen our current activities and introduce new activities that would enhance the quality of life of all those who participate in them. More details of our work can be found on this website, just follow the appropriate links.

As a new and growing association serving the local muslim community we would like to encourage people to take part in the work of the association; so if you have suggestions and ideas then please do feel free to contact any member of the committee. We have a quarterly newsletter to highlight the work that we are doing and exchange ideas and experiences of people in our community. We look forward to your participation with us.

Jazakallaho-khairan (May Allah reward with the good)
